Miss Guy was my English teacher in the 70's. She was more than a teacher, she challenged us to be better individuals. She was very kind, yet stern. One fond memory is when I came to school with a new hair cut. Miss Guy liked it and asked me who cut my hair and wanted to get her hair cut by the same stylist. My stylist was my sister, Thelma. So, one night after school Miss Guy drove us from Valmeyer to O'fallon where my sister lived. My sister cut and styled her hair and she was SO HAPPY!

Wilma was my highschool teacher and I thought alot of her. We reconnected after her 90th birthday celebration and became friends and wrote letters to each other. She was a very special lady.

Ms Guy was my high school English teacher in Valmeyer, IL. At the time of my graduation, she took me aside and slipped me a cartoon from New Yorker magazine about a young man who shocked his class with a somewhat humorous Valedictory address. She dared me if I could find a way to use something like that in my Valedictory address. At the end of the evening, she just shook my hand, smiled really big and shook her head as she moved on to the next student.,,,Dare accepted. Thank you, Ms. Guy

I am so happy to have known Wilma. She was a sweetheart to all. We all know where she is and this brings such peace when a loved one passes. Wilma may not have had many actual family members left, but she was so rich with those who loved her!

I am so blessed that I got to know Wilma. She was a first cousin to my mother, Opal Campbell and helped me tremendously when I wanted to know more about my Campbell and Guy families. A very knowledgeable and interesting person to know and she never lost her sense of humor. Many thanks to Shane for his loving care of her for so many years and to the nurses who cared for her these past few years.
