Tyler Lee Garrett's Obituary
Tyler Lee Garrett, age 34, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Carbondale, IL.
Tyler was born on July 6, 1989 to his biological mother, Julie Garrett, in San Luis Obispo, CA. He was adopted by his loving grandmother, Patricia Garrett, and she raised him as her son. Tyler worked for the State of Illinois as the grounds keeper at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. He loved being outdoors, painting, drawing, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers and his presence will be greatly missed. Tyler was also an Eagle Scout and loved California.
Survivors include his loving mother, Patricia Garrett; and biological mother, Julie (Ben) Gallo; two sons, Elijah and Weston Garrett; one daughter, Ivaley Garrett; six brothers, Chon Montano, Jr., Jacob Montano, Jordan Brand (Makenzie Young), Chandler Karabec, Chase Karabec, and Caden Karabec; two sisters, Candice and Brenna Montano; one uncle, Kevin (Kelly) Garrett; one aunt, Laura (Duke) Brand; nephew, Derek (Kaylee) Smith and family; two nephews and one niece; and special cousins, Seth and Makenna Brand.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Jenny Jordan; and two uncles, Tom and Robert Collins.
Tyler's wishes were to be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL has been entrusted with the arrangements.
