I'd like to express deep sympathy for loss of your loved one. I hope and pray this message bring comfort and soothe the pain that you are experiencing at this time. What has help me to cope and deal with lost a love one is found God's Word the Bible in Psalms 113:5-8 "Who is like Jehovah our God, The one who dwells on high? 6 He stoops down to look on heaven and earth, 7 Raising the lowly from the dust. He lifts up the poor from the ash heap 8 In order to make him sit with nobles, With nobles of his people." You can find similar comforting verses in the website jw.org.
Uncle Sam..........when I think of you a smile comes to my face. You brought smiles to those around you. Some of my earliest memories..........Aunt Betty and Uncle Sam chose me to be the flower girl in their wedding. I thought I was something special, and they gave me a charm that said "flower girl" that I still have today. Uncle Sam telling me "don't touch the fence". That was at Ted and Cathy's in North Carolina. It was an electric fence, and of course I touched it. He laughed as he hugged me as I cried over the "shock". He let me drive his car when I was 15. He taught me the first karate moves I ever knew, as we laughed doing the moves together in the living room. He said the sweetest, kindest words about my mother when she died, and made the long trip from Illinois to be with us during that sad time. You were a beautiful person, Uncle Sam, and you will be missed. Believers of Jesus Christ are promised everlasting life. We will see each other again, Uncle Sam. Love you.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. Please take notice of the promise at Acts 24:15, which says that there is going to be a resurrection. For this work, God longs to do it. (Job 14:14, 15) May these scriptures bring you a measure of comfort in your time of mourning.
Sam was a year behind me in high school and although I only spent 2 years at C'ville High, I knew Sam was destined for great things. He was always a true Christian man.
He was a great man. He will be greatly missed by all.
May God wrap you in his arms and comfort you in this time of need!
