Nina L. Morris' Obituary
Nina L. Morris, age 95, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in her home. Nina was born on March 17, 1918 in Tamaroa, IL, a daughter to Henry and Rose (Hutchings) Ellermeyer. On December 1, 1940, she married Kenneth J. "Red" Morris in Cape Girardeau, MO and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1993. Nina was a member of the Sunfield United Methodist Church, Sunfield, IL and enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Nina loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Easterly of DuQuoin, IL; two grandchildren, Wayne (Lindsay) Halstead Jr. and Natalie (Charlie) Bishop all of DuQuoin, IL and five great-grandchildren, Madeline Halstead, Jackson Halstead and Lucy Halstead, Carli Bishop and Charles Edward Bishop IV and a niece, Janet Hamil of Ashley, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; two sisters, Eileen Nowicki and Winnie Ellermeyer and a nephew, Terall Koehler. Funeral services will be held at Sunfield United Methodist Church, Sunfield, IL on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Donna Blythe officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at Sunfield United Methodist Church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Sunfield United Methodist Church Building Fund. Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
