Mary Jane Weihe Karg's Obituary
Mary Jane Weihe Karg passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Friendship Manor Healthcare Center, Nashville, IL.
Mary Jane was born in Chicago, Jan 19, 1944. She was later adopted by her loving parents Herman and Olinda (Heseman) Weihe in 1945.
She married Carl Donald (Colly) Karg August 15, 1964 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville. They were later divorced. Mary Jane and Colly lived and worked on a farm near Gorham, IL. They were blessed with four children, Carl Kevin (Teresa) of Gorham, Michael Alan (Amy) of Murphysboro, Christian Frank (Linda) of Ava, and Linda (Eric) Clendenin of Gorham. They were also blessed with nine grandchildren. Added to this blessing were ten great-grandchildren.
Mary Jane was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Carbondale, IL, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was active in several church organizations.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Herman and Olinda Weihe and oldest son, Carl Kevin Karg.
A funeral service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jay Holden officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Nashville, IL or Our Savior Lutheran Church, Carbondale, IL.
