Lyle Dean Fisher's Obituary
Lyle Dean Fisher, age 82, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 1:30 a.m. in his home. Lyle was born on December 15, 1926 in Pinckneyville, IL a son to Lyle and Alean (Wilkerson) Fisher. On November 2, 1946, he married Imogene "Sis" Secrease in Pinckneyville, IL and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2003. Lyle was a member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 504 Infantry, 82nd Airborne during WWII, a coal miner for Zeigler #11, retiring after 34 years and a member of U.M.W.A. Local 2161 for 50 years. Lyle loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Lyle is survived by three children: Lylia (Harold) Hagel of Pinckneyville, IL, Rick (Marilyn) Fisher of DuQuoin, IL, and June Beth (Lyle) Kellerman DuQuoin, IL, one sister: Bonnie Davis of Pinckneyville, IL, three sisters-in-law: Lydia Bird, Kay Carns and Hildred Secrease all of Pinckneyville, IL, seven grandchildren: Devin, Alex and Cassie Fisher, Shaysa Edmonds, Dylan Kellerman, Shay Hagel and Jenny Purdy, three great- grandchildren: Nicolas and Austin Hagel and Kaylee Fosnock, and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister: Kate Newborn and two brothers: Jack and Melvin Bird. Funeral services will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. City Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at New Hope Community Church on Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
