Lylia, you might know that I used to work side by side with your dad, we ran "machines" on the same shift and sometimes the same machine together and we rode to work together many, many days.
Know this, your dad was very good at his job, and it is hard for someone outside the business to know how much that meant to him, that other miners recognized that he was one of the best at his job. Just found out about Lyle, my condolences to you all.
very sorry to hear about your dad. great guy i still remember the coal mine days and dove hunting. maybe even a few beers. did not know of your mothers passing. so sorry. best wishes to all of you.
