Linda Marie Pabst's Obituary
Linda Marie Pabst, age 62, of Gilbertsville, KY, formerly of Carmi, IL passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, TX after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. Linda was born on October 30, 1945 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Willard and Elizabeth (Fontana) Johnson. On July 15, 1965, she married Donald R. Pabst in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. She had worked as an optician. She enjoyed many outdoor sports, gardening and making new friends but her true love was her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband: Don Pabst of Gilbertsville, KY, son: Dan (Christy) Pabst of Wichita, KS, daughter: Donna (Brandon) Carter of Marion, IL, and seven grandchildren: D.J., Derek, Emma, Mallory, and Carter Pabst, and Austin and Colby Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in St. Polycarp Parish Center, Carmi, IL with Father Stephen W. Rudolphi officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Illinois, 651 W. Washington Blvd, Room 400, Chicago, IL 60661-2237.
