Johnny Ray Sronce's Obituary
Johnny Ray Sronce, age 64, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 9:30 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Pinckneyville, IL.
Johnny was born on July 15, 1957 in Roswell, NM, a son to Ray Gene and Carrol J. (Sullivan) Sronce. On May 26, 1977, he married Crystal J. Peradotto in San Diego, CA and she survives. Johnny had served in United States Navy and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. He worked as a welder for Baldwin Power Plant for thirty-three years and after retiring, he helped around Sronce Automotive. Johnny was a member of the Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Union I.B.E.W. 51 and HOG group. He loved riding motorcycles, tinkering, and helping his children with their businesses.
Survivors include his wife, Crystal Sronce of Pinckneyville, IL; two children, Sarah Jo (Tony) Garcia) of West Frankfort, IL, and Caleb Gene Sronce of Pinckneyville, IL; two grandchildren, Tatum Sronce of Pinckneyvillle, IL, and Lance Sronce of Pinckneyville, IL; four brothers, Michael Gene (Laura) Sronce of Dallas, TX, Jeffery Allen Sronce of Pinckneyville, IL, Mark Eric (Lori) Sronce of IN, and Brian Lee (Leigh) Sronce of Pinckneyville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great- nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister-in-law, Anne Sronce.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim Beard officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504.
Due to the covid-19 virus, all mandates and regulations will be enforced.
