I was saddened to hear of Dr. Bates passing. Please accept my condolences. He will be missed by all those who's hearts he touched with the kind and gentle care that he demonstrated towards his 4 legged patients and the compassion he showed for their human families.
We were saddened to hear of his passing. But as he told me when we had a very dear pet pass that we will not be on this earth forever. May the wisdom he had be passed through his family and the many talented people he had working for him. He will be missed by all who knew him. May his family have peace in their hearts knowing God has called ypon another strong person to his Kingdom.
Jim was a classmate of my wife and one year ahead of me at MHS. I remember him playing Mississippi Mud on the piano at different times and always enjoyed his humor and music ability. Our prayers go out to his family.

Dr. Bates has been my Vet for almost forever. There are no words to express how much I thought of this man,or how much he ment to this town.I already miss him profoundly.He gave us so much,but he was willing to give much more.
If there is a heaven,Dr. Bates is certainly there,and all the kitties I've loved and lost are surely glad to see him.
I loved this guy, and that's something I don't do or say lightly.
Beth& kids, Doc meant alot to us. He lifted our hearts in song, he cared for our animals, & his sense of humor was wonderfully witty& dry. Beth, we love you& share in your grief.
