Irma Joan Timpner's Obituary
Irma Joan Timpner, age 63, of rural Pinckneyville, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 5:05 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Irma was born on November 9, 1943 at her parent's home west of Pinckneyville, a daughter to Edward Jacob and Eva Marie (Heisner) Wildermuth. She married Gary Lee Timpner on May 4, 1963 in St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville. In her lifetime, she graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School with the class of 1961, worked at the former Decca Records, Pinckneyville. Then spent many years raising her family and helping on the farm. She then worked as a personal care attendant and most recently cleaned the homes of many friends. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ where she served in the church choir, played on the church ladies softball league, served as a Sunday school teacher, on the Board of Christian Education, as a youth fellowship leader, in the Women's Guild, and in the quilters group. She was also a member of the Home Extension and enjoyed flowers, gardening, being outdoors, and being with her family. Survivors include her husband: Gary Lee Timpner of Pinckneyville, three daughters: Cynthia and Brette Dorris of Glen Carbon, IL, Leanna and Jerome Kellerman of Glen Carbon, IL, and Sharon and Jim Carani of Sycamore, IL, two brothers: Elvis Wildermuth of Sparta, IL, and Wayne and Dorothy Wildermuth of Pinckneyville, one sister: Bernice and George Bender of Pinckneyville, six grandchildren: Lauren and Colin Dorris, Nicholas and Eric Kellerman, and Jake and Cameron Carani, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville on Monday, January 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Cynthia Bean officiating. Interment will be in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m. and then on Monday from 9:00 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
