George "Geo" Phillips' Obituary
George "Geo" Phillips, age 52, of Mt. Vernon, IL, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7:16 a.m. as a result of traffic accident. Geo was born on January 17, 1962 in Pennsylvania, a son to George Owen and Frances (Muscarnero) Phillips Jr. On September 11, 2007, he married Susan Frederking in the "Chapel of Love" Las Vegas, NV and she survives. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Geo was the Minister of Smooth Operations at the Republic of Tea, Nashville, IL. He spent a lot of time traveling with the Republic of Tea, loved Redskins football, fishing and RV'ing. Geo was a dedicated husband and father and dearly loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Susie Phillips of Mt. Vernon, IL; two daughters, Shannon Phillips of CA and Brooke Phillips of Mt. Vernon, IL; step-son, Ray Williams of Oakdale, IL; father, George Owen (Glen) Phillips Jr of Berlin, MD.; mother, Frances Sandusky of Virginia Beach, VA; special aunt and godmother, Lorraine Lockard of Virginia Beach, VA,; aunt, Lorraine (Mark) Stagg PA,; five brothers, Kenny Hammond of MD, Bart Hammond of MD, Charlie (Janet) Sandusky of Virginia Beach, VA J.R. Sanduskly of CA, and Brett Hammond of MD; two sisters, Linda (Eric) Davis of Seattle, WA and Ronda Trager of Ocean City, MD; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Janice Frederking of Coulterville, IL; sister-in-law, Melanie Frederking (Tom) of Coulterville, IL; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Mark Hammond; step-father, Del Sandusky; two brothers-in-law, Jeff Frederking and Dennis Trager. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Military graveside service provided by Coulterville VFW Post #6865. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Brooke Phillips College Fund.
