So sorry to hear about the loss of a really nice guy, who I got to know when I worked for the Republic of Tea several times as an outside contractor.
I recall the last thing we talked about before I finished this past August is George saying goodbye and "You will be back soon Brian!" That may be true in the future, but if so it won't be the same without George.
To his wife and family may you find comfort in the memory of the time you had with George and the knowledge that he touched our lives in a very special way.
To George, Glen, young George's wife and family,
We are so sorry for your loss and we share in your grief. May God bless you in this time of sorrow and provide you with comfort.
From what I've been told George was a very nice man and these guest book notes just prove it. My deepest condolences.
GEO, I can't believe you are gone, and to Susie, Shannon, Brooke, and all of his family and extended family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I worked with George at TROT for 8 years, and he was one of the best co-workers and friends that anyone could ever ask for. I will miss his (sometimes warped) sense of humor, the way he looked at things, always shy about sharing his opinions, never one to stir the pot or rock the boat. I am kidding about the last 2, and those are some of the qualities I admired and appreciated most. Most of all, I am thankful for his loyalty and friendship over 8 years. That can never be replaced. I was also very fortunate to see the transformation that occurred in him over that time from a man whom some might consider to be a "wild child" to a man that truly believed in God. Although it may not bring much comfort now, I firmly believe that I will see Geo again, and that he is waiting for all of you right now in Heaven. My life is much better for having known George. I'll never find anyone else I can harass about the Redskins, get fired up about politics, or share a good meal at the truck stop with (open faced roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes and peas). Miss you, GEO. Until we meet again.
I am so grateful to have known George. He was truly one of a kind. He was a great co-worker and friend to me and honestly, I can't imagine my time at TRoT without him. I will always remember him coming up to my desk on the 2nd floor, hairnet on, blue work shirt with the "Geo" patch, a smile on his face and usually, some comical story about his daughters, all told in that thick Philly/Virginia accent of his that he never lost. The world has lost a good one. Susie, Shannon, Brooke, and family, you all have my prayers and deepest sympathies.
I am very sorry for your loss. Although I did not know your loved one personally, I hope knowing that they are in our loving heavenly Father's memory will bring your family comfort during this difficult time. Very soon now we can look forward to God's promise at a Revelation 21:4: "... Death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former thing have passed away."
Worked with Geo at First Colony! Have never worked along side a finer person in my career. His morals and ethics were beyond reproach! For him 100% was slacking!! He will be missed!
I am so sorry for your loss as well I will keep you and your family in our prayers
