Ernestine Fulk age 94, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 7:51 p.m. in Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Ernestine was born on September 15, 1915 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Sam and Martha (Cheek) Buchanan. On January 9, 1937, she married Jesse Ray Fulk in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on August 27, 1992. Ernestine was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, word finds, cooking and enjoyed reading emails from her loved ones. Ernestine was a loving mother who truly enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed. Ernestine is survived by her children, Dr. Bill (Terri) Fulk of Ft. Meyers, FL, Bob (Sherry) Fulk of Pinckneyville, IL, Kay (Russ) Eubanks of Pinckneyville, IL, Dorothy (Tom) Wall of Chandler, AZ, Samuel (Sylvia) Fulk of Pinckneyville, IL and Marilyn (Rex) Stombaugh of Mt. Vernon, IL; grandchildren, Dr. Doug Fulk, Dr. Dan Fulk, Robbie Fulk, Bonnie Emling, Karen Carter, Dr. David Eubanks, Amy Whalen, Ted Wall, Roni Birkhofer, Andy Wall, JD, Susan Erickson, Stephanie Bullar, James Fulk, Greg Fulk, Dr. Jennifer Nguyen, Dr. Megan Neely; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Noah, Reese, Murray, Emily, Julia, Deanna, Arielle, Kelcie, MacKenzie, Kiley, Noah, Lucas, Krista, Daniel, Amanda, Sean, Kaylie, Tyler Teo, Tommy, Samuel, Ollie, Madly, Sophia, Mailien, Brayden, Isabella and Deyvi and many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Helen Opp, Morris Buchanan and Gerald Luke and a daughter-in-law, Dee Fulk. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Jeffry Vogelzang officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Pinckneyville Junior Baseball Softball League.
