A few notes below of my memories of Aunt Edie:
She was always happy and content simply having conversation or being with the 'gang'
When visiting St. Louis as kids, we got a kick out of Dave & Edie's dog, Penny, who was somewhat hyper. Edie would always be telling her to "quit it".
It was very special the time or two we were able to go with Edie and our grandmother (Edie's older sister Freda) back to the farm where they grew up, to see the country and how different their lives were in their childhood.
I was able to visit with Dave & Edie the fall of 2020 as work took me to Wentzville, MO for a couple of weeks. We were able to go out to dinner, drive by my mother's childhood home and reminisce of previous visits to Big Chief.
While I have to comment on Edie's backseat driving that would last most of the care ride, I will always remember her kindness above all else.
