Corey Allan Miller's Obituary
Corey Allan Miller, age 23, of Coulterville, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 7:12 a.m. in his home. Corey was born on January 22, 1984 in Red Bud, IL, a son to Kent and Susan (Engelage) Miller. He attended the United Methodist Church of Coulterville, was a graduate of Coulterville High School, a member of National Honor Society, and the Beta Club, received the National Leadership Award, was accepted to Mizzou University, loved hunting, fishing, and go-kart racing, and was chosen by Buckmasters Hunting Club to participate in a hunt in Wisconsin resulting in his first trophy deer. Survivors included his parents: Scott and Susan Simon of Coulterville, a sister: Lindsey Simon of Coulterville, grandparents: Martha and Harry Higgerson of Pinckneyville, JoAnn Kempfer of Sparta, Frank Kempfer of Coulterville, Carolyn and Mike Rossmann of St. Ann, MO, Harold Simon of Marissa, Bo and Sheila Williams of Percy, and Judy Bennett of Percy, great-grandparents: Helen and Cecil Carrico of Keyesport, IL, Russell Kempfer of Tilden, Warren Schmierbach of Coulterville, and Lillian Williams of Percy, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his uncle: Mike Engelage, and many dear friends, including: Eric Hewitt, Jenny McDowell, and Jessica Joiner. He was preceded in death by his father: Kent Miller, grandfather: Donald G. Engelage, grandmother: Sue Williams, great-grandmother: Vera Schmierbach, great-grandfather: Russell Nail, great-grandparents: Fred and Cleda Engelage, and an uncle: Donald J. Engelage. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Glennon Neurofibromatosis Clinic.
