Wilma Jean Wisely's Obituary
Wilma Jean Wisely, age 82, of Oakdale, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 12:10 p.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. Wilma was born on August 17, 1930 in Tilden, IL, a daughter to Lawrence Emerson and Mildred (Morton) Dickey. On September 7, 1949, she married Charles V. Wisely in the United Presbyterian Church, Tilden, IL and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1982. Wilma was a 1948 graduate of Sparta High School, Sparta, IL worked in sales, was a housewife and worked with her husband on the family farm. She was a former member of the United Presbyterian Church, Tilden, IL and was a current member of the United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL. Wilma was a member of the Washington County Home Extension, Oakdale Home Extension, Sparta Saddle Club and Oakdale Saddle Club. She was very active in her church, community activities and was a 4-H leader. For many years, she enjoyed water aerobics and dearly loved spending time with her family. She is survived by four children, Paul (Ruth) Wisely, Susan (Mike) Hillyard, Jimmie (Denise) Wisely and Jill Brown all of Oakdale, IL; one sister, Dorothy McDonald of Ft. Wayne, IN; three brother-in-laws, Earl (Phyllis) Wisey, Jo (Kitty) Wisely and Richard Sronce; three sister-in-laws, Rhoma Patton, Dolly (Arson) Fuqua and Joycelyn Kasten; ten grandchildren, Courtney (Tony) Anstanio, Benjamin Wisely, Brittany (Zak) Kurtz, Kaitlyn Wisely, Amber (Aaron) Geiger, Crystal (Evan) Shubert, Emily and Eric Wisely and Matthew and Nicholas Brown; two great grandchildren, Anthony Anstanio and Ayrton Geiger; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Margaret Bleisch; and two brothers, Neil Dickey and Lavoy Dickey. Funeral services will be held at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Phil Carson and Reverend John Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale, IL. Friends may call at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Wilma Jean Wisely Family to be disbursed to her favorite local charities. Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
