William Robert "Bob" Williams' Obituary
Bob Williams, age 81, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 11:21 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL. Bob was born on September 21, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, a son to Rufus L. and Opal (Marlow) Williams. On September 1, 1948, he married Gladys Wright in Paragould, AR, and she survives. Bob was a member of Winkle Baptist Church, Swanwick, IL. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War, he worked as a diesel mechanic for Keene Road Builders and Clarence Heggemeier Trucking, worked as a welder for Taylor Brothers, and was a self employed farmer. Bob loved playing music and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife, four grandchildren: Brother Tim (Wendy) Bauersachs of Pinckneyville, IL, Valerie Dawn (Mike) Bartnicki of Pinckneyville, IL, Amy Lynn Bauersachs of St. Louis, MO and Bobbi Jo (John) Jacob of Cheyenne, WY, five great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Renee, Elizabeth Ann and Dustin Levi Bartnicki and Noah Allen and Isabel Fay Jacob. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Deborah Bauersachs, one brother: Ronald Lee Williams and one sister: Coleen Jones. Funeral services will be held at Winkle Baptist Church, Swanwick, IL on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim Bauersachs and Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Winkle Baptist Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family of Bob Williams. Pyatt Funeral Home Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
