William "Bill" Pippin's Obituary
William “Bill” Pippin, age 82, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 9:58 p.m., in Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL.
William was born on January 7, 1943 in Pascagoula, MS, a son to Harold & Ethel (Catt) Pippin. On June 7, 1986, he married Genevieve “Genny” (Collins) Pippin in Marissa, IL. William proudly served his country during Desert Storm in the United States Air Force and then in the Army Reserve. He worked as a union sheet metal worker for 15 years. William enjoyed fishing, target shooting, nature walks, taking photographs of wildlife, admiring animals and nature, he also enjoyed traveling with his wife and taking her shopping. He was a member of the American Legion and the Coulterville V.F.W. Post #6865. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Genevieve Pippin of Coulterville, IL; two sons, Scotty (Marilyn) Maynard of Sparta, IL, and Tony (Laura) Maynard of Marissa, IL; two daughters, Kathy Johnson of Coulterville, IL, and Shelley (Vic) DeMascolo of PA; one brother, Harold (Gail) Pippin of Mt. Carmel, IL; and one sister, Cherry (William) Childers of Golconda, IL; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Trevor Pippin.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be at Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
