William A. Heisner's Obituary
William A. "Bill" Heisner, age 89, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away Tuesday morning February 28, 2006 in the Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL. Bill was born on November 9, 1916 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Charles and Minnie (Loos) Heisner. He married Erla L. Bigham on July 5, 1947 in Jackson, MS and she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served as a Shipfitter 3rd Class during World War II. He worked for the MO Pacific Railroad for 15 years and then for the City of Pinckneyville Gas and Water Department for 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, where he served as an usher for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pinckneyville and the I.M.R.F. Survivors include his wife: Erla, nieces and nephews: Larry and Lesslie Bigham of Paducah, KY, Diane and Douglas Zacheis of Oakdale, IL, Janet and Dean Wisely of Oakdale, IL, Elvis and Martha Wildermuth of Sparta, IL, Wayne and Dorothy Wildermuth of Pinckneyville, IL, Irma and Gary Timpner of Pinckneyville, IL, Bernice and George Bender of Pinckneyville, IL, Charles and Janet Sroka of Pinckneyville, IL, Frances and Steve Dunn of Bellflower, MO, Joan Sroka of DuQuoin, IL, and Patty and Nicky Louis of Pinckneyville, IL, and good friends: Larry and Marsha Hagene of Pinckneyville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Lottie May Sroka and Marie Wildermuth. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Graveside military rites will be provided by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 and then at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Masonic Services will be on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
