William "Earl" Taylor's Obituary
William "Earl" Taylor, age 81, of Cutler, IL, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:29 a.m. in his home.
Earl was born on March 24, 1937 in Cutler, IL, a son to Louis L. and Lucille M. (Lipe) Taylor. On December 3, 1956, he married Patricia "Pat" Fay O'Gara in Chester, IL and she survives. Earl was a steel worker for G.S. Metals for 41 years and later worked for the Pinckneyville Ambulance Service, Trans Van. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, attending flea markets, wood working and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Cutler, IL; five daughters, Melody Taylor of Tennessee, Patricia "Trish" (Jim) Povidinski of West Frankfort, IL, Wilma Earline "Eanie" (Roger) Flener of Pinckneyville, IL, Barbara "Barbi" (Dan) Curry of Cutler, IL and Charlotte Russell of Cutler, IL; one sister, Ruth (Elroy) Huggins of Pinckneyville, IL; one sister-in-law, Beverly (Alfred) Wayer of DuQuoin, IL; ten grandchildren, Trina Roberts (Jeremy Strong), Valerie Flener, L. Earl (Ashley) Flener, Daniel (Cassandra) Curry, Sara Povidinski (Josh Elliotte), Jamie (David) Heibner, Charles "Taylor" Russell, Ceonda (Jared) Hartwell, Seth Povidinski, Victoria "Tori" (Jacob) Russell; twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandsons; two aunts, Ruth Fisher of Pinckneyville, IL and Dejah Herrmany of Pinckneyville, IL; and his beloved "son" dog, Charlie.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tiara Nicole "Nikki" Russell; his parents; two sisters, Helen Huggins and Frances Taylor; one brother, Louis Earl Taylor; and five other siblings in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend J. Mark Harris, Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Friends may call at First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
