Wayne Deaton's Obituary
Robert Wayne Deaton, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 12:55 p.m. at Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL.
Wayne was born on April 4, 1944 in Kentucky, a son to Benjamin Franklin Deaton and Mollie Miller. He married Connie S. Little on October 17, 1968 in DuQuoin, IL and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2008. Wayne proudly served in the United States Air Force and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a production manager at Champion Labs in West Salem, IL for thirty years and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #513 and American Legion Post #647 of DuQuoin, IL.
Survivors include his two sons, Rob Deaton of Carbondale, IL and Roger Deaton of DuQuoin, IL; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Deaton and Gwynevere Deaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie Deaton; and ten brothers and sisters.
Wayne's wishes were to be cremated with no services.
