Waneta F. Kiss, age 87, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Waneta was born on February 18, 1926 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Scott Orlando and Martha (Linze) Irwin. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Royal Neighbors and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Waneta worked as a shipper for Universal, Pinckneyville, IL, retiring in 1998 after 26 years. She dearly loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Jerry Kiss of Pinckneyville, IL; brother, Bob (Emma Lou) Irwin of Nashville, IL; sister, Grace Campanella of Willisville, IL; one step-grandchild, Donnie (Tammy) Kinncanon of Pinckneyville, IL; step-great grandchild, Nolan Showalter; very special friend, Mikalean Barr of Pinckneyville, IL; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Irwin, George Irwin and William Irwin; sister, Dolores Granneman; half-brother, Bert Semon and one step-granddaughter, Amanda Showalter. Funeral services will be held at the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend J. Mark Harris, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the First Pentecostal Church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL.
