Wanda Lee Burton's Obituary
Wanda Lee Burton, age 79, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:05 a.m. in her sons home, surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born on February 24, 1932 in White Oak, AR, a daughter to Robert and Maude (Skelton) Eagle. On March 18, 1947, she married Herman Burton in Piggott, AR and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2005. Wanda was a member of White Oak Baptist Church, White Oak, AR. She loved cooking, babysitting her grandchildren, bingo, playing cards, and fishing when she was younger. She dearly loved spending time with her family. Wanda is survived by three sons, David Burton, Keith Burton, and Steve (Vicki) Burton all of Coulterville, IL; one brother, Don (Mary) Eagle of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Doris (Vernon) Ward of Poplar Bluff, MO; ten grandchildren, Timmy McDougal, Tommy McDougal, Amanda Burton, Niki Burton, Shelby (Tim) Cox, Elisha Burton, Hannah (David) Smith, Elijah Burton, Jamie Burton, and Kelly (Nick) Labeye; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Donna McDougal; son, Ralph Burton; three grandchildren, Scotty Burton, Trent Kirkpatrick, and Suzie McDougal; two brothers, Delmar Eagle and Robert Eagle; and four sisters, Eurlene Williams, Lou McClung Pauline Inam, and Ellen Boashers. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Ron Mazander officiating. Interment will be in the Burton Family Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Epilepsy Foundation.
