Wanda M. Armstrong's Obituary
Wanda M. Armstrong, age 88, of St. Charles, MO, formerly of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 9:38 p.m. in Charlevoix Healthcare and Rehabilitation, St. Charles, MO. Wanda was born on June 7, 1918, in Illinois, a daughter to Loren and Verla (Stokes) Compton. She married Charles B. Armstrong on March 7, 1937 in Benton, IL and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2004. She was retired from the accounting department at Walgreens and she loved to play bingo at Coulterville V.F.W. Survivors include one son: Ron and Jane Armstrong of St. Charles, MO, one sister: Pat Smothers of Dupo, IL, three grandchildren: Jean Marie and Kevin Field, Amy Armstrong, and Joshua Armstrong, all of St. Charles, MO, and five great-grandchildren: Jacob and Ashley Guthrie, and Kayla, Michael and Cody Berg. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Coulterville on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Gerald Savage officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Coulterville on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
