Virginia R. Sroka's Obituary
Virginia R. Sroka, age 81, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 5:57 p.m. in her home. Virginia was born on November 4, 1930 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Henry and Ann (Todd) Bathon. She was a homemaker and had worked as a meat wrapper for Kroger in Pinckneyville, IL and after the Pinckneyville store closed she worked for a short time in the Nashville, IL store. She had previously been a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed embroidering, quilting and spending time with her friends. Survivors include her two sons, Gerald Sroka of Fults, IL and Mark Sroka of Pinckneyville, IL; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two very dear friends, Pam Morgenthaler and Vickie Miloshewski. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald Sroka; a sister, Audrey Loos; and five brothers, James Bathon, John Bathon, Francis Bathon, Albert Bathon and Henry Bathon. Virginia's wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
