Virginia E. Provart's Obituary
Virginia E. Provart, age 95, of Pinckneyville, IL, formerly of Tamaroa, IL, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:55 p.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab, Pinckneyville, IL. Virginia was born on August 27, 1921 in rural Tamaroa, IL, a daughter to Grover and Bernice (Morrow) Lee. On October 19, 1940, she married Victor O. Provart in Jackson, MO and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1994. Virginia was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and she also belonged to a bridge club. She loved life and spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, Kirk Provart of Shiloh, IL; daughter, Tami (Rodney) Gass of Mt Vernon, IL; five grandchildren, Sabrina Bathon, Ashlee (Michael) Howell, Miles Gass, Josh (Shannon) Provart and Jacob Gass; two great-grandchildren, Kinlee and Kase Howell and a great-grandchild on the way; and a dear friend, Janet Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one granddaughter, Nicole Provart; a great-grandson, Dalton Howell; and three brothers, Harold Lee, Harlan Lee, and Albert Lee. Graveside services will be held at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Rodney Gass officiating. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the donor's choice. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
