Virginia Peradotta's Obituary
Virginia Pauline Peradotta, age 92, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 1:59 p.m., in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL, surrounded by her family.
Virginia was born on October 9, 1931, in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Valley and Mildred (Kelly) Chandler. On December 27, 1951, she married Carl Peter Peradotta in Benton, IL and he survives. They had been married 72 years. Together, they had three children, Sammy D. Peradotta, Carl Vincent Peradotta, and Reita Peradotta Deering. Virginia was a homemaker and devoted her time to raising her children. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She loved Panther Basketball games, crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Peradotta of Pinckneyville, IL; one son, Sammy Peradotta of Pinckneyville, IL; one daughter, Reita Deering of Nashville, IL; eight grandchildren, Kline Peradotta (Tiffany Lakamp), Kelsey Peradotta, Angelia (Neil) Brockmann, Amy Peradotta (David Wright), Gino Peradotta, Greyson Deering (special friend, Michelle Bruno), Clayton Deering (special friend, Kalli Clayton), and Allyssa Deering (special friend, Jason Rowell); five great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Peradotto, and Karen Peradotto; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and LaDonna Peradotto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Carl Vincent "Vince" Peradotta; one daughter-in-law, Marilyn Sue Peradotta, one son-in-law, Terry Deering; two brothers, Donald Lee Chandler and in infancy, Murrell Chandler; three brothers-in-law, Julius Peradotto, George Peradotto, and John Peradotto; and three sisters-in-law, Doris Ing, Lucille Stern, and Marjorie Peradotto Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Brother Ray Baggott and Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
