Virginia Lee Heidtman's Obituary
Virginia Lee Heidtman, age 89, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Pinckneyville, Illinois on January 14, 1921 to William J. Hickman & Mary Rozella Fulton Hickman. She has lived in Jacksonville for over 40 years. Mrs. Heidtman was retired from Independent Life Insurance Co. She enjoyed playing bridge and being a volunteer for underprivileged children. Traveling to many countries with her husband was a wonderful time for herself and her husband. Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Charles H. Heidtman; a daughter, Susan Hegarty; four sisters, Sylvia Clark, Joyce Kuhnert; Gloria Blacklock and Clodine Dunn; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Hickman. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. and then at the First Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Morocco Temple Kiddie's Fund, Morocco Temple, P.O.Box 52085, Jacksonville, FL 32201 or Morris Slotin Memorial Fund, Alee Temple, P. O. Box 14147, Savannah, Georgia 31416.
