Virginia Mae Flowers' Obituary
Virginia Mae Flowers, age 85, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 8:15 p.m. in Friendship Manor, Nashville, IL. Virginia was born on June 29, 1925 in Centralia, IL, a daughter to Harry and Emma (Volmer) Krupp. On June 29, 1947, she married Earl Elmo Flowers and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1996. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her extended family. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Slusher of Pinckneyville, IL, Lorene Greten of Nashville, IL; two nieces, Carol (Kenny) Hicks of Pinckneyville, IL and Sonja Herzinger of Morristown, NJ; two nephews, Roger (Rosellen) Greten, and Rick (Cynthia) Greten all of Oakdale, IL; two great nephews, Zack and Josh Greten; five great-nieces, Michelle Jenkel, Lisa McGlinn, Kim Meyer, Alicia Shockley, and Lindsay Greten; and may great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Elvis and Lester Krupp; one sister, Faye Bergadine; and two brother-in-laws, Melvin Slusher and Herbert Greten. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim Bauersachs officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor Alzheimer's Unit
