Vernie Doris Ferrari's Obituary
Vernie Doris Ferrari, age 97, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 8:45 p.m. in Friendship Manor Nursing Home, Nashville, IL. Vernie was born on September 21, 1911 in Rice, IL, a daughter to Ezra and Ann (Rice) Hutchings. On September 7, 1928, she married Ristidy Ferrari and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1980. Vernie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, attended Sunday School Class and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Vernie enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting and canning. She loved spending time with her twin sister: Ernie and loved cooking for company, farming and chickens. She is survived by two sons: Paul Dean Ferrari and Ralph Ferrari of Pinckneyville, IL, one daughter: Imogene (Martin) Hepp of Pinckneyville, IL, one brother: Loren Hutchings of Nashville, IL, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Rick Hatley and Brother Tim Bauersachs officiating. Interment will be in Concord Baptist Cemetery, Rice, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL.
