Tina Marie Jenkel's Obituary
Tina Marie Jenkel, age 78, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 4:37 p.m. in her home surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed.
Tina was born on May 25, 1943 in Chicago, IL, a daughter to Fredrick and Christina (Epplin) Buettner. On November 23, 1963, she married Jack D. Jenkel in Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. Tina had worked for Pinckneyville Garment Factory and retired from Roe Abstract & Title Inc in 2013 and was also a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL and was a former member of Catholic Daughters. She loved going to grandchildren ball games, traveling, quilting, and spending time with her family, especially, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Jack D. Jenkel of Pinckneyville, IL; six children, Michael (Barbara) Jenkel of Pinckneyville, IL, RaiDean (Bruce) Landreth of Iuka, IL, Traci (Dale) Jenkel of Ava, IL, Scott (Tammy) Jenkel of Pinckneyville, IL, Beverly Baxter of DuQuoin, IL, and Clay (Laurie) Jenkel of Tamaroa, IL,; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward (Barb) Buettner, and Ralph (Kim) Buettner; and two children Tina helped raise, Timothy (Rhiannon) Lynch of Elmore, OH and Tommy (Sylvie) Jausel of Fernandina Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jonathan Daryl "J.D." Jenkel; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Wadkins; one brother, Fredrick Buettner and two nieces, April Jenkel and RaiDean Jenkel.
Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker Officiating. Interment will be at St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to J.D. Jenkel Memorial Scholarship.
Covid-19 virus mandates and regulations will be enforced.
