Timothy A. Mocaby's Obituary
Tim Mocaby, age 54, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away Thursday evening, February 1, 2007 at his home in DuQuoin, IL. Tim was born November 9, 1952 in Herrin, IL, the son of Thornton and Neva Mocaby. He was raised in West Frankfort, IL and was an accomplished musician since the age of 13. Tim was united in marriage to Christina Clifford on December 29, 1998 in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. Tim was a design engineer at the Bombardier Boat Company (formerly Celebrity Boat Company) of Benton, IL for over 35 years and a well known guitarist in several bands in southern Illinois. Tim is survived by his wife, Christina of DuQuoin, IL, two sons, Sean Mocaby of Herrin, IL and Timothy Mocaby II of West Frankfort, IL, two step-sons, Stephen Hagan of Carbondale, IL and Nathan Hagan of DuQuoin, IL, one daughter, Jennifer Hagan of Pinckneyville, IL, three brothers, Warren, Chuck and Jerry Mocaby, one sister, Judy Jovi, three grandchildren, Christopher Hagan, Levi and Lucas Kaiser. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday morning, February 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ernest Clifford officiating. Interment will be in the Union Ridge Cemetery near Carmi, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. then again on Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. till time of Services. Memorials may be made to the Tim Mocaby Benefit Fund.
