Theresa Rushing's Obituary
Theresa Rushing, age 100, of Sparta, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL. Theresa was born on May 30, 1914 in Benton, IL, a daughter to Joseph and Natalina (Fenoglio) Baietto. On January 13, 1932, she married Kenneth Rushing and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1999. Theresa was a past member of First Baptist Church, Sparta, IL and current member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Jacksonville, IL. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing games, especially with her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, Bill (Josie) Rushing of Marissa, IL; daughter, Shirley Mitchell of Jacksonville, IL; seven grandchildren, Grady Evans II, Jan Bryant, Debbie Mitchell, Brett Mitchell, Kimberly Pohlman, Greg Rushing and Grant Rushing; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents, Thomas and Olive Sprague; daughter, Bernice Evans; son-in-law, Fred Mitchell; two brothers, Joseph Baietto and Dominick Baietto and a sister, Mary Siefke Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Church, Sparta, IL or Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Jacksonville, IL.
