Theresa M. Dobrinick's Obituary
Theresa M. Dobrinick, age 80, of Scheller, IL, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:05 a.m. in her home with her family by her side.
Theresa was born on October 24, 1936 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to James F. and Celeste (Hubler) Mentel. On May 30, 1956, she married Robert J "Bob" Dobrinick at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Theresa was a coal miner working for Consolidated Coal Company having worked there for 19 years. She was a member of St Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, fishing and gambling. Survivors include her two sons, Charles R. (Gayla) Dobrinick of Pinckneyville, IL and Robert "Tom" (Cindy) Dobrinick of Tempe, AZ; two daughters, Denise A. (Roger) Ruffino of Pinckneyville, IL, Lori (Tom) Johnson of Tamaroa, IL; one sister, Joan (Bernie) Epplin of Harrisburg, IL; eleven grandchildren, Hanna (Josh) Rux, Alycia (Neil) Reitenbach, Sabrina Dobrinick, Abigail Dobrinick, David Popham, Samantha Popham, Amie (Bruce) Anderson, Jill (Mitch) Morson, Staci (Aaron) Glaser, Drew (Phelisha) Johnson, and Kaitlyn Johnson; eight great-grandchildren, along with two more on the way; and a special friend, Ralph Rehmus. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband; one grandson, Joshua Dale Ruffino; five brothers, Charles Mentel, James Mentel, Richard Mentel, Raymond Mentel, and John Robert "Bob' Mentel; and one sister, Geraldine "Gerre" Luke. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Scheller, IL on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Father John Iffert officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Scheller IL on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Geraldine "Gerre" Luke Memorial Scholarship Fund.
