Terry Lynn Kelly's Obituary
Terry Lynn Kelly, age 70, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 12:18 a.m., in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL.
Terry was born on October 31, 1954, in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Jackie Wayne and Lydia Mae (Wright) Bird. Terry was employed at SIH Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL for 30 years in the Health Information Department. During her many years of service, she made a multitude of special friends whom she loved dearly. Terry was a life-long member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed Sunday morning services and had a very special group of ladies she attended Bible study with on Sunday evenings.
Terry enjoyed spending her free time mostly with family, friends, and at church gatherings. She also enjoyed thrifting, watching DIY and HGTV shows, especially Yellowstone on Sunday evenings. She was an avid reader, she loved Halloween but Christmas was always her favorite because she was surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include her children, Jeramy (Angie) Kelly of Pinckneyville, IL and Jacqueline "Jaci" Kelly of Percy, IL; her siblings, Carol Czmyrid (Tim Harner) of Spring Hill, FL, Cindy Steinkamp of Okawville, IL, Danny Bird of OH, and Lisa (William) Wells of Willisville, IL; six grandchildren, Samantha (Cedrick II) Neal of Biloxi, MS, Elijah Kelly of Percy, IL, Devon (Miranda) Kelly of Okawville, IL, Tyson (Jessica) Kelly of Carbondale, IL, Sophia Kelly of Pinckneyville, IL, Madison Middleton of Orient, IL; one step-granddaughter, DeAnna (Bud) Gabert of Gulf Port, MS; ten great-grandchildren, Willow, Wrenly, and Cedrick III Neal, Kayce Kelly, Jackson Kelly, Ozark David Lee, Hazel and Hallie Valentine, and Henry and Pierce Gabert; several bonus great-grandchildren, Jocelynn Graves, London Neal, Madison, Kristen, and Jackson Althoff; one Goddaughter, Kendra Kelly; four nephews, Joshua Bird, Adam Steinkamp, Robert (Nichole) Wells, and Benjamin Bird; one niece, Kaitlyn Sledge; as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Waiting to greet her at Heaven's gates with open arms are: her parents, Jackie and Lydia Bird; her brother-in-law, Louis Steinkamp; nephews, Nicholas Wells, Micah Bird, and Thomas Wells; niece, Sara Steinkamp; and most importantly her precious great-grandson, Ocean Wayne.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., with Brother Rob Mathis and Chris Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Friday morning at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Caring and Sharing Thrift Store, Pinckneyville, IL.
