Tamara Jo Rude's Obituary
Tamara Jo Rude, age 55, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 2:05 a.m. in her home. Tamara was born on August 15, 1960 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Carl Wallace and Ruth (Schack) Miller. On December 2, 1978, she married Marion Smith in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death in August 2003. On April 23, 2005, she married Richard 'Rick" Rude in Coulterville, IL and he survives. She was a member of Winkle Baptist Church, Winkle, IL and worked as a C.N.A. at Manor at Mason Woods, Pinckneyville, IL. She loved playing tennis, golf, billiards and table tennis and riding bicycles. Survivors include her husband, Rick Rude of Coulterville, IL; her mother, Ruth Miller of Nashville, IL; three sons, Adrian Smith of Pinckneyville, IL, Jacob (Kassy) Smith of Johnston City, IL and Troy (Tristan) Smith of Royalton, IL; a step-son, Richard (Brandy) Rude of Coulterville, IL; four step-daughters, Tammy (Ed) Marshall of Sparta, IL, Jennifer Rude-Little of Coulterville, IL, Betsy (Larry) Szostak of Big Rock, TN and Ricky (Quintin) Ray of Sullivan, IL; two brothers, Rick (Beverly) Miller of Pinckneyville, IL and Carl Miller, Jr of Pinckneyville, IL; two sisters, Vicky (Vernon) Cross of Ava, IL and Cindy Higgerson of Owensboro, KY; two grandchildren, Dillon Smith and Evelyn Smith; twenty-three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and first husband. Funeral services will be held at Winkle Baptist Church, Winkle, IL on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Winkle Baptist Church, Winkle, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO.
