Steven Michael Rheinecker's Obituary
Steven Michael Rheinecker, age 34, of Elkville, IL, formerly of rural Pinckneyville, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 1:24 a.m. in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Steve was born on September 5, 1972 in Pinckneyville, a son to Michael J. and Linda (Marini) Rheinecker. He married Claudia Prowell on May 17, 1997 in Pinckneyville and she survives. He was a warehouse supervisor at N.O.T.S. in Nashville, IL. In his lifetime, he was baptized Catholic and currently attended Elkville Christian Church. He loved sports, especially Panther basketball, and golf. He was a Cardinal baseball fan, loved playing with his 5 year old niece, Mikayla, and watching his step-daughter, Sara, play basketball for Elverado High School. Survivors include his wife: Claudia Rheinecker of Elkville, mother and step-father: Linda and Robert Roberson of Nashville, IL, mother-in-law: Betty Prowell of Elkville, one step-daughter: Sara Manis of Elkville, two sisters: Jeanne Mucha of Kansas City, MO, and Laura Rheinecker of Pinckneyville, one niece: Mikayla Rheinecker, godparents: Robert and Ann Mohr of Cutler, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father and father-in-law. Funeral services will be held at Elkville Christian Church, Elkville, IL on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Gary Pruitt, Brother Ron Kreid, and Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in Elkville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and then on Monday at Elkville Christian Church from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Mikayla Rheinecker Scholarship Fund, St. Bruno Catholic School, or Elkville Christian Church Building Fund.
