Stephanie Farley-Linze's Obituary
Stephanie Farley-Linze, age 89, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 6:25 p.m. in Pinckneyville Heath Care Center, Pinckneyville, IL. Stephanie was born on December 17, 1924 in Loos, France, a daughter to Vincent and Wadislawa (Budshewska) Krzysztofek. She was a member of Holts Prairie Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She worked as a secretary and lived at home with her parents as World War II was going on. She met Ed Farley, Jr. in France in 1944, they were married there, and she came to America by ship a short time later. Ed preceded her in death and she later married Oscar Linze, Jr, who also preceded her in death. Stephanie was 100% dedicated to her children. She gave up everything for them, reveled in their accomplishments, and worried about their problems and well-being. She made raising her children her life's work and was quietly proud of them all, each and every one. She lived a hard life but never complained or gave up. Stephanie was the rock of her family and enjoyed life's simple things; birds, westerns, and old movie stars like Dean Martin and Humphrey Bogart. She will be missed by all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has gone to heaven to receive her just rewards for being a dedicated mother. Her spirit is not gone; it lives on in her children with the life lessons, skills and above all, the love that she gave to all of them. Enjoy heaven, mother. Love, Your Children. Amour et priers toujours avec vous. (Love and prayers with you always.) Survivors include her seven children, Anna Marie (John) Conway, Margie (John) Eisfelder, Janet (Phil) Poling, all of Pinckneyville, IL, Daniel (Debbie) Farley of Tilden, IL, Michael S. (Ann) Linze of Pinckneyville, IL, Gary Jon (Gina) Linze of Chicago, IL and David Linze of Pinckneyville, IL; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Krzysztofek of France; one sister, Odette Krzysztofek of France; and numerous other relatives and friends both in the U.S. and abroad. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a special cousin, Annie; and her first love, Bill Wilkerson of England. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Phil Poling officiating.
