Shirley Jean Cunningham's Obituary
Shirley Jean Cunningham, age 64, of Clarmin, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 3:15 p.m. in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, IL. Shirley was born on October 9, 1942 in Marissa, a daughter to Harvey and Mary Alice (Lloyd) Risley. In 1974 she married Frank "Hank" Cunningham in Reno, NV and he survives. She worked at Gilster Mary Lee in Steelville, IL in the cake plant for 11 years. She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Rice, IL and enjoyed fishing, and making crafts. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her husband: Frank "Hank" Cunningham of Clarmin, IL, one daughter: Alice Davis of Oakdale, IL, two step-daughters: Pam and Becky Cunningham both of Butte, MT, one brother: Fred Risely and wife Donetta of Oakdale, IL, one brother-in-law: Robert Cunningham of Reno, NV, two sisters: Mildred Miller of Marissa, IL and Kate Juenger and husband Hubert of Tilden, IL, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Debbie Giacomo, son-in-law: Carl Davis, three brothers: Jack, James, and Larry Risley, sister-in-law: Lois Carrothers, and two brothers-in-law: William and Earl Cunningham. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakdale Baptist Church, Oakdale with Rev. Fred Pringle officiating. Friends may call at the Oakdale Baptist Church, on Friday from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
