Shirley E. Bathon's Obituary
Shirley E. Bathon, age 73, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 9:25 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Shirley was born on February 20, 1934 in Grays Knob, KY, a daughter to Millard and Lillie (Hensley) Pace. She married Clarence Bathon on July 11, 1970 at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville and he survives. She worked as an assembly worker at RCA in Indianapolis, IN, an inspector at National Can Co. in Chicago, IL for 21 years, and at Casey's General Store in Pinckneyville. In her lifetime, she was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, T.O.P.S. Weight Watchers, and Women's Bowling League in Chicago, enjoyed visiting gambling boats, and enjoyed her friends. Survivors include her husband: Clarence of Pinckneyville, three children, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother, one sister and one sister-in-law. Funeral services will held at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and then on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno Catholic School or the American Cancer Society.
