Sandra "Sandy" Woodside's Obituary
Sandra K. "Sandy" Woodside, age 78, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 9:50 a.m. at her home surrounded by her family.
Sandra was born on June 27, 1946 in Pinckneyville, IL a daughter to William Clarence and Dorothy "Arlene" (Fisher) Marlow. On April 24, 1964, she married Everette James "Jim" Woodside in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2004. Sandra had worked as a beautician, a day care provider, and event decorator for Name Brand Creations. She had also worked as a custodian for Pinckneyville Community High School and house manager for White Walnut Farms, Pinckneyville, IL. Sandra was a member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed taking care of people in need, and shopping. Her passion was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was affectionately known as Grandma Sandy to many children that she cared for over the years.
Survivors include her three daughters, Yolanda (Tim) Issler of Pinckneyville, IL, Andrea Woodside Lewis (David Cox) of Pinckneyville, IL, and Tiffany (Tim) Jablonski of Tamaroa, IL; two brothers, Maurice (Alvina) Marlow of Nashville, IL, and Shelby (Rose) Marlow of Waterloo, IL; ten grandchildren, Phoebe (Kolton) Pavloff, Sophia (Cole) Ogilvie, Sarah Issler (Ryan Bruggemann), Kirsten Bates, Benton Bates, Kayden Bates, Easton Bates, Pepper Lewis, Cross Bethel, and Ariel Woodside; one great-grandchild, Harper Kaye Pavloff; a beloved caregiver, Wendy Cunningham; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Everette James "Jim" Woodside; and a special aunt and uncle, Lydia and Ed Harrell.
Funeral services will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Memorials may be made to New Hope Community Church or Caring and Sharing Thrift Shop.
