Samuel Mark Jones' Obituary
Samuel Mark Jones, age 68, of Marion, AR, formerly of Nashville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in McLean, VA. Samuel was born on July 25, 1944 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Harry O. and Zelma D. (Dempsay) Jones. He was raised in the Baptist faith and was a self employed mortgage broker. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening and spending time with his family. Samuel is survived by two sons, Mark (Jennifer) Jones of McLean, VA and Michael (Angelica) Jones of Miami, FL; two sisters, Jo Ann Leu and Harriet Scopelite, both of St. Louis, MO; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Jones; and one brother in infancy. Funeral services will be held at Concord Baptist Church, Rice, IL at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 with Reverend Clyde Dempsay officiating. Interment will be in Concord Baptist Cemetery, Rice, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL, on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at Concord Baptist Church, Rice, IL from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Cemetery Fund.
