Ryan Hood's Obituary
Ryan Hood, age 32, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 1:36 p.m. in Coulterville, IL. Ryan was born on June 15, 1977 in Sparta, IL, a son to Robert "Buck" L. and Vicki (Cook) Hood, Sr. He was of the Methodist faith, worked as a telemarketer for Xentel, St. Louis, MO for six years, received his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from McKendree University where he was a stand-out pitcher for their baseball team. Ryan enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and lifting weights and loved dogs. Survivors include his father: Robert "Buck" Hood, mother: Vicki Hood, special maternal grandma: Katherine Cook, all of Coulterville, IL, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and his beloved dog: Roxanne. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Harry R. and Clara Hood, and maternal grandfather: Robert "Bob" Cook. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Ron Mazander officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Gateway Foundation, Caseyville, IL.
