Ruby Mae Graskewicz's Obituary
Ruby Mae Graskewicz, age 75, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Ruby was born on April 16, 1942 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Rube N. and Pauline (Brown) Anderson. On June 20, 1961, she married Kenneth S. Graskewicz in the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. For over 25 years she had worked as the school secretary and nurse at the District 50 Grade School, Pinckneyville, IL where the kids knew her as "Miss Ruby". She had also worked at the Pinckneyville City Hall, A.F. Reese Accounting, as a secretary for Peabody Coal Company and also as a secretary working with her son, Wade at his business, Hi-Standard Pet Foods, Pinckneyville, IL. Ruby was a Cardinal baseball fan, a big Panther Basketball fan and enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play ball. Her greatest loves were her three boys and their families. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Graskewicz of Pinckneyville, IL; three sons, Wade (Lisa) Graskewicz of Pinckneyville, IL, Kerry (Beth) Graskewicz of Hudson, WI and Barry (Wendy) Graskewicz of Keytesville, MO; a brother, Bob (Deanna) Anderson of Washington, IL; ten grandchildren, Daphne Stodghill, Skyler (Olivia) Graskewicz, Tyler Graskewicz, Chase (Kristen) Graskewicz, Olivia Graskewicz, Bailey Graskewicz, Riley Graskewicz, Brady Graskewicz, Hayley Dudek, and Drew Dudek; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Graskewicz and Gage Graskewicz; a niece; and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Jay Lowder officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday morning at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Perry County Humane Society.
