Rose W. Poiter's Obituary
Rose Poiter age 93, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away November 25, 2007 at 3:47 p.m. at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Rose was born on May 16, 1914 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Jacob and Kate (Kellerman) Seibert. On June 4, 1930 she married Albert Poiter in DuQuoin, IL and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1987. Rose was a homemaker and a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church. She loved dancing and volunteering at Perry Manor. Rose was a member of St. Bruno quilters club and Perry County senior citizens club. Survivors include two sons: R. Dale (Margie) Poiter of Herrin, IL and Maurice (Sheila) Poiter of Granite City, IL, one daughter: Charlotte (Noah) Carter of Pinckneyville, IL, one sister: Catherine Malinski of Pinckneyville, IL, twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother: John Seibert and one sister: Ann Marlow. Funeral mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, DuQuoin. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno School.
