Rosalie L. "Snook" Schneider's Obituary
Rosalie L. "Snook" Schneider, age (88) of DuQuoin, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL and Texas, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007 in Fair Acres Nursing Home, DuQuoin, at 3:05 a.m. Snook, as she was affectionately known, was born on August 1, 1918 near Vergennes, IL, a daughter to Julius and Elizabeth (Eisenhauer) Schneider. She worked for many years as a secretary at Illinois Adhesive Products, Chicago, IL before moving to DuQuoin. She was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, DuQuoin, and especially enjoyed singing in the church choir. Survivors include a nephew: John Coleman, and his wife, Sheila, of Naples, FL, three great-nephews: John Coleman, Jr., and his wife, Christina, and their six daughters: Patricia, Colleen, Christina, Meghan, Mary, and Theresa; William Coleman; Edward Coleman, and his wife, Autumn, along with numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Marcella Coleman-Cook. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, DuQuoin with Msgr. Harry Jerome officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. till time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DuQuoin Public Library or masses to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
