Rosalie Armstrong's Obituary
Rosalie Armstrong, age 84 of Cummings, GA, formerly of DuQuoin, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2008. Rose was born on November 30, 1923 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to George and Laura Clark. She lived most of her adult life in St. Louis, MO, working as an Administrative Assistant at Washington University. Rose retired to Palm Beach Gardens, FL with her late husband, John Armstrong and traveled extensively throughout the world. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her deep love of music was shared with all. Rose is survived by one sister: Lillian (Ron) Taylor, one son: Ronald (Dianne) Haywood, one daughter: Jan (Steve) Baker, six grandchildren: Jennifer, Stacy, Carrie, David, Anne, and Stephanie and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two brothers: Nelson and Bernard Clark and one sister: Wilma Eilers. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m .in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL is in charge of the arrangements. The family deeply appreciates the loving care provided by the staff of Cummings Nursing Center and Crossroads Hospice. Memorials may be made in the form of prayers in memory of Rose.
