Ronald Holyfield's Obituary
Ronald Holyfield, age 65, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Baldwin County Hospital, Foley, AL.
Ronald was born on November 15, 1959, in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to O. V. and Lola (Brewer) Holyfield. Ronald proudly served in the United States Navy. On November 20, 1977, he married Sharon Barnett at Bethel Baptist Church and she survives. He worked as a computer technologist for many years. Ronald was a member at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL. He was a HAM radio enthusiast, a proud Christian, and loved to travel. Ronald loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Sharon Holyfield of Pinckneyville, IL; two children, Ronald (Charity) Holyfield II of Nashville, IL and Misty (Jamey) Carns of Coulterville, IL; two siblings, Daren Holyfield and Lora Kellerman of Pinckneyville, IL; five grandchildren, Hunter (Audrey) Gill of Tamaroa, IL, Denver (Christina) Gill of Sparta, IL, Skyler Gill (Nathan Henry) of Pinckneyville, IL, Ember Carns of Coulterville, IL, and River Carns of Coulterville, IL; and one great-granddaughter, Everleigh Gill of Tamaroa, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor James Clardy officiating.
Visitation will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family for education.
