Robert W. Norris' Obituary
Robert W. Norris, age 68, of Hueytown, AL, formerly of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his home in Hueytown, AL.
Robert was born on March 31, 1953 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Harold C. and Helen Faye (Beard) Norris. On August 3, 1973, he married Donna Kay Sullins at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, White Ash, IL and she survives. Robert was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, DuQuoin, IL and The Hueytown First United Methodist Church, Hueytown, AL. He enjoyed collecting automotive and advertising signs, working on cars, traveling and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Kay Norris of Hueytown, AL; three children, Travis (Jennifer) Norris of Hueytown, AL, Trevor Norris (Lauren Turner) of Hoover, AL and Cathleen (Casey) Pugh of Hueytown, AL; four grandchildren, Kyle Norris, Justin Norris, Kayla Norris, and Wayne Pugh; one brother, Edward (Kay) Norris of Auburn, IL; one sister, Donna Weis of DuQuoin, IL; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Shane and Rachel Norris; and one brother-in-law, Leo "buddy" Weis.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dick Sullins officiating. Interment will be at Old DuQuoin Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
